Pinterest recently launched Body Type Ranges, a new way for exploring women’s fashion based on body types. This product idea creates awesome user value in the spirit of inclusivity. While I can't confirm this, Pinterest may have realized an important insight; users were frustrated only seeing images of people who didn’t look like them while browsing for clothes, leading to decreased engagement. Body Type Ranges is a great solution that offers personalized content reflecting users' real self, not some arbitrary ideal. I'm not just a fan of the idea; I also love the launch announcement. It’s inspiring and clearly highlights the value of this new feature.
